Logan, tag

The (Not fat or big) quiz of the year TAG!

I was tagged by the lovely Lisacowan¬†in this tag to celebrate all that was great in the year 2016! I don’t nominate anyone in particular,¬†so if you are reading this then BOO your tagged!
What was your highlight of 2016?
My obvious highlight of 2016 was the birth of my son Logan Robert Jones who was born on the 19th of May, it feels like he’s been here forever – can’t see a life without him now, he’s¬†my world!

Name one thing you are most likely to remember about 2016 if asked in five years time?

My labour and the year of logan’s birth, or could be the year Robbie proposed to me, there is quite a lot that has happened in 2016 which i could have remembered.
Sum up 2016 in one word.

Name one pearl of wisdom from 2016 that you will carry with you through 2017.
One piece of advice that i will definitely be bringing with me into 2017 is this very famous quote, “don’t worry, be happy” because life is very precious and you never know what tomorrow will bring.

Do you have any new years resolutions
Yes but whether or not i will be able to stick to them I’ll never know, but here goes;
  • Eat less, do more (that one is self-explanatory¬†but will make a blog post)
    • On the same lines as that, drink more water
  • Read more books to Logan (I’ll admit i have been slacking with reading but i do want to incorporate¬†reading into his bedtime routine)
  • Manage my money better (Get a piggy bank)
  • Go on at least¬†1 date night a month with Rob (Get babysitter)
How are you seeing in the new year?
Not doing anything particular, Logan’s already fast asleep and me and rob are watching the telly, but new year’s¬†day i am cooking us a chicken dinner with all the trimmings!
What would you most like to do in 2017?
¬†Bloody hell, there’s loads, realistic and more dreams.
  1. Save money up towards our wedding/holiday
  2. Go away, even if its for a small break to somewhere in the UK
  3. Take Logan to Chester zoo/Sea life aquarium
  4. Go self-hosted on my blog
    1. Keep posting consistently and hope to maybe make a few quid along the way
  5. Do more fun stuff with Logan and cherish everyday

What are your main goals for 2017

  • Lose this mum-tum once and for all
    • I’ll be honest ive been lazy and been in my own bubble, just from being so exhausted with waking up multiple times a night with night feeds/cuddles
  • Go on a holiday
  • Keep blogging

Thanks everyone for reading – HAPPY NEW YEAR! X

The Christmas Tag Questions

What is your favourite Christmas film? The Grinch is my all time favourite Christmas film, i always watch this on Xmas eve but sometimes even weeks before.

Have you ever had a white Christmas?¬†Not that i can remember, it’s always been pretty cold and foggy but never snowed on Christmas day.

Where do you usually spend your holiday?¬†Since i moved out of the family home 3 years ago i have always, always gone back to my mums for Christmas day, it’s¬†just tradition now, and i’ll be going to my mums this year too.

What is your favourite Christmas song? Hmm if i had to choose just one song it would have to Last Christmas by Wham, just because that seems to be the only song i go back to over the festive season.

Do you open any presents on Christmas Eve?¬†No, even when we were little we were never allowed to open any presents before Christmas, but i think i may alter that tradition with Logan as i want him to feel excited and to have something on Christmas eve it might just help him sleep, as we all know it’s “hard to sleep until Santa has been”.

Can you name all of Santa‚Äôs reindeer?¬†Rudolph, Dasher, Vixen, Prancer, Cupid..that’s honestly all i remember.

What holiday traditions are you looking forward to most this year?¬†It will be Logans first Christmas so I’m excited to start my own traditions which we’ll carry on every year, im looking forward to having xmas¬†dinner at my mums, the board games, the music, the late night telly, the conversations, the giving on gifts, the memories and taking pictures.

Is your Christmas tree real or fake? Fake, we’ve never had a real one, in fact none of my family have ever had a real christmas tree.

What is your all time favourite holiday food/sweet treat? Pigs in blankets and Trifle with brandy cream ūüėČ

Be honest, do you like giving or receiving gifts better?¬†When i was younger, naturally it was recieveing but now im a parent giving is definitely better as i love seeing peoples faces light up at the wonderful gifts we’ve gotten and i cant wait for those years where logans older and understands xmas a lot more.

What is the best Christmas present you have ever received? Hmm probably a laptop which i had off my mum to help with my college studies, either that or my manchester united top with my surname on the back!

What would be your dream place to visit for the holiday season? My mums house, nothing beats going there, if i went anywhere else i’d feel strange and i wouldn’t be able to settle, but if my mum and everyone came too then Italy as thats where alot my relatives live.

Are you a pro-present wrapper or do you fail miserably?  Depends, sometimes i put the effort in and sometimes if im tired i tend to rush it and it ends up looking like a dogs been at it.

Most memorable holiday moment? ¬†Going to my nanny’s house on christmas morning after we’d opened all our presents at home, then the excitement to see what your nan had got us, oh and then there’s the bar of soap incident when i was about 7 years old i thought a bar soap was one of them green viscount bars (the chocolaty mint thing) yeah that was pretty memorable.

What made you realise the truth about Santa?¬†I would like to go in to detail but i’ll just say Rudolph left a trail of mince pie to my mums bedroom

What makes the holidays special for you? Being with my family and now my son, i have a feeling this christmas will be the best one yet.

Right, now your turn! I tag the following lovely  mummies.

-Blogmas Day 2-Rocking Motherhood – TAG

Thank you to the lovely Nicola at iamcrabstix for tagging me in the #RockingMotherhood tag on her blog. So now i have been tagged, it is my duty to share it with you and tag the mummy friends who i believe, rocks motherhood! I have listed the rules and shared the ten things I believe make me a good mother, below. I hope that those of you who have been tagged will take part and and continue the tag.

RockingMotherhood Rules

  1. Thank the blogger that tagged you and link to their blog.
  2. List 10 things you believe make you a good mother (this is just a guideline. It can be more or less than 10. I really don’t mind.)
  3. Tag 3 ‚Äď 5 bloggers to join in the #RockingMotherhood Tag.
  4. Grab the #RockingMotherhood badge and add it to your post or sidebar.

Things that make me a good mother

  1. ¬†I’m patient and have a calm aura around Logan which i think is important, as it translates to him and I’ve noticed he’s ¬†got my pretty chilled out attitude with exceptions to when he’s going through the leaps.
  2. ¬†I am a natural – this has been told to me many times, some have even said they can’t believe logan is my first, as i seem to do everything 2nd/3rd time mummies do, and seem so confident in what i do with Logan.
  3. ¬†I put him first (Always) i have not had a day in the 6 months he’s been born, when i haven’t away from him, i know its for ¬†my relationship to have that space but i just cant bare the thought of being away from him, he’s my son so i feel totally responsible even if that means i don’t get any “me” time.
  4.  I always do my best for Logan and go above and beyond my comfort zone to make sure Logan gets everything he needs for his development, as having social anxiety meeting new people is difficult for me, so by going to chatterbox/baby massage class, my confidence has increased and i now feel i can talk to new people and nothing bad is going to happen.
  5. Spending my money on his needs before my own, because i dont work i am getting help from the council but as soon as i can i want to work and get somewhere with my degree that i have sitting in a frame on the living room wall. Whenever i get my weekly allowance i make sure Logan has everything he needs, whether that be medicine, new clothes, formula, toys to keep him entertained. I rarely treat myself because i just cant bring myself to do so.
